In our last telecollaboration group meeting, we explored and analyzed the website called KidLink. Kidlink is an organization that allows students to meet other students around the world through collaboration in school projects. It allows open dialogue in between students from all around the world. It seems like it could be a great tool for developing language skills and it can be controlled and monitored by teachers and administrators. It is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5. Teachers need to register their classes and projects in order to participate on KidLink. After searching through the website, many of the ideas were very creative. Some of the projects were really cool!

The only caveat that I have about this website is the bad aesthetics and the difficult navigation. It seems really outdated and like it hasn't been update in a long time. This is probably due to lack of funding. However, I think if they want to appeal to students ages 10 to 15 then they need to update it. I'll provide a picture to as an example for how old it seems.
